Enhancing the educational outcomes of our kids

The Fremantle Primary School P&C community is a collective of parents who give their time to organise extra-curricular activities and infrastructure to benefit the whole school community.

Our P&C aims to support the school to provide a standard of education and facilities that would not be achieveable with government funding alone.  In 2018, the P&C contributed $27k towards:

• Whole of school education resources such as iPad fleet replacements, whole school reading resources, library books, sport ribbons, interactive whiteboards and ECE experiential resources.
• Student resilience enhancing programs (2018 was Life Skills 4 Kids, 2017 was the Big Splash)
• Infrastructure such as scooter/skateboard racks and ECE grounds maintenance and beautification.
• Our volunteers also operate our uniform shop, without which we would not have such cost effective uniform options available to our families.

To increase the benefits the P&C can provide across the school, we ask for an annual $50 per student voluntary contribution with your book lists.  The payment of this SIGNIFICANTLY improves the benefits we can provide to students throughout the year.  The provision of items such as a fleet of iPads, reading resources and student resilience programs costs many thousands of dollars to deliver, and would cost families hundreds of dollars to provide otherwise.  Fundraising of this magnitude cannot be achieved by events and grants alone.

• Dr Kristy Goodwin's seminar on raising a child in a digital world
• The hugely enjoyable Lapathon and Kids Fiesta
• Sundowners and welcome picnics
• Movie nights
• Bike Week event
• Election Day stall
• Quiz night
• Contributing to the School Disco and Year 5 & 6 camps
